Virtual Reality

Virtual Reality has become a true reality right before our eyes.  Now we can offer people experiences doing things they are not capable of doing in the real world.  Highland Mediaworks has been using drones to create First-Person point of view experiences within the Virtual world, through inventing new ways to carry 360 degree camera packages on trips aloft!  360 video from a drone is difficult to attain…but gives the experience of flying!  VR experiences related to business enterprise is the way to take your product to the next level…exciting your brand online.

This is also an excellent application for VR learning and educational experiences. VR has the ability to show us historical places, feeling as though we are in those places. VR can also take us to geographical locations we may not be able to travel to otherwise. VR can also create immersive learning experiences, with interaction from the user, to drive an educational lesson’s form and momentum. The near future will bring capabilities such as precise eye tracking in Head-Mounted VR Displays. This would, for example, allow a company to analyze driving behavior, awareness and reaction times during a VR driving simulation.

These videos were produced in order to be experienced through the Samsung Gear 360 VR System. When viewed through the VR headset, these videos allow the user to look around as they experience a multi-rotor drone flight, or a hot-air balloon ride in First-Person view. In the video player below, click and drag your mouse to move the point of view of the video, panning right and left, and looking up and down. It is not as immersive as viewing through the headset, of course, but still gives you a nice preview.
